What Is Tour de Kids?

Launched in 2001 by four mates who loved riding and wanted to give back, Tour de Kids has grown into a powerful 30-day national cycling challenge. It unites thousands of Aussies of all skill levels who ride for one reason—to raise vital funds for sick kids.

This is not just a challenge—it’s a movement, and you’re invited to join.

Why Ride? It’s About More Than Fitness

Every kilometre you pedal in October directly supports Starlight’s incredible programs, which help seriously ill children and their families navigate the toughest of times.

Your fundraising efforts will go towards:

• Captain Starlight – bringing fun, entertainment, and emotional relief to kids in hospital.
• Starlight Express Rooms – hospital-based play zones where kids can just be kids.
• Healthier Futures Initiative – delivering fun, education, and health support to children in remote Indigenous communities.

In 2023, riders:

• Covered over 370,000 km
• Raised $696,000+
• Helped 17,800+ sick kids

And 2025 is set to be even bigger.
