Combination Locks

How to Reset a Combination Bike Lock

Refer to the instruction manual detailed explanations. However, generally speaking, most locks come preset with a zero/zero/zero/zero access code. To update this, you release the bike lock so it is in the unlocked mode. Turn the lock knob 90 degrees in a clockwise direction and then simply enter the new code. Make sure the numbers you select line up with the marker on the lock. When you have finished selecting the new numbers, turn the reset knob back (anti clockwise) to its original position. You have now reset your combination code.

Are Combination Bike Locks Secure?

Provided you don’t share your bike lock passcode, then a combination lock is secure. However, the level of security depends on the type of lock you use; options such as U-locks or chain locks will be more challenging to cut through or destroy than a cable lock, for instance.
